		Lepana means application of Ayurvedic medicated paste on a specific region. 
	
		Procedure
-The location where the powder is to be applied, is thoroughly cleaned. Ayurvedic powder is mixed with water / rose water / decoction/ milk / honey as per requirement. Then, generally it is heated and applied at the necessary area and allowed to dry.
	
		Depending upon location, Lepana is classified as follows - 
		
			- a.	Mukhalepana (Apply Ayurvedic face pack)
 This is done generally in cases of Hyperpigmentation, Black spots, excessive dryness / Oily skin, Acne etc.
- b.	Shirolepana (Apply Ayurvedic Paste on Head)
 This is done generally in cases of Hairfall, Dandruff, Itching at Scalp, Recurrent headache, Insomnia, etc.
- c.	Sarvaangalepana (Apply Ayurvedic Paste all over the body)
 This is done generally in cases of Burning all over body, Swelling all over body, wellness of skin etc.
- d.	Sthaanikalepana (Apply Ayurvedic Paste locally)
 This is done generally in cases of Joint pain (Knee, shoulder, Elbow, wrist, ankle, neck, back, spine), localized burning sensation at palms or soles etc.
