Highlights of disease
Non healing wounds are generally chronic in nature. It is generally caused due to reduced blood circulation at wound site or involved area, repeated trauma, immune suppression, use of steroids for long term etc.
According to Ayurveda, this occurs due to dominance of Kapha Dosha/ Vaata Dosha and Aama Dosha along with or without Krimi Sansarga. It is termed as Jeerna Vrana.
Treatment:
- Ayurvedic internal medications along with local applications and regular dressing with Ayurvedic medicines are advised after understanding the case in detail.
Panchakarma Treatment:
- Snehana, Swedana, Basti, Virechan, Vamana, Raktamokshnana, Lepana, Dhavana are some key Panchakarma treatments which may be performed as per necessicity under strict medical supervision.
Helpful Tips
- Avoid having diet that increases Kapha Dosha and Vaata Dosha and which is heavy to digest like Curd, Bakery Products, Fermented foods, oily food, outside eatables, spicy food etc. Have green vegetables regularly and do regular exercise.
