Stress (Psycological stress), means feeling of psycological strain or pressure. It can increase the risk of Stroke, Heart attack, gastric ulcers and Mental illnesses like Depression. It may be associated with anxiety, fear, anger etc.
According to Ayurveda, this occurs due to dominance of Vaata Dosha and Maanasa Dosha consisting of Raja and Tama.
- Ayurvedic internal medications and counselling are advised after understanding the case in detail.
- Shiroabhyanga, Shirobasti, Shirodhara, Nasya, Lepana are some key Panchakarma treatments which may be performed as per necessicity under strict medical supervision.
- Avoid having diet that increases Vaata Dosha and which is heavy to digest like Curd, Bakery Products, Fermented foods, dry food, excess amount of sprouts etc. Avoid overthinking, stressful environment. Have regular exercise and balanced diet. Meditation along with Pranayama consisting of Kapalbhati, Anuloma Viloma, Bhramari and Yoga like Shirshasana are useful in such cases. Being in peaceful environment and listening to good silent music also helps in such cases.
